    What kind of wobble? A bit of precession is normal as the freehub axis is often not precisely concentric with the hub axis. Significant free play between the freehub rotor and the hub on Mavic FTS[-L|-X] wheels usually means the hub is fucked due to insufficient maintenance of the bushing :)

  • How do I maintain the freehub bushing? Just replace the freehub when the bushing is worn?

  • I think you are probably right.
    The worst wobble is on the highest mileage bike.
    What sort of wobble?
    Thumb and forefinger placed on the largest cog at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock respectively, and rock the cassette back and forth axially rather than radially.
