Cool. Is it fairly straightforward, or do you need some proper skills?

I've got a Seiko 5 ( SNZG09K1 3 o'clock crown) that has a slightly iffy crown and like the idea of a hacking manual wind.

It takes quite a lot of practice to do it well, but a beginner might be successful if they are quite practical and have a good step-by-step guide. The tools are not cheap. I find Seikos quite difficult sometimes because the parts can be quite flimsy compared to Swiss watches.
