The cats are not mine. Long very complicated story. The shortened points: Went to two different cat shelters. Wouldn't be offered a kitten or young cat. I wanted to get an older cat one that was to be kept inside. So she ended up buying two 8 week old tabbies (brother and sister) from a family in colchester. We live in north London. When coming back, I set down a set of cat care rules. Number of litter trays, where we would put water around the, kind of water, toys, food and treats. Scratching posts and where they would sleep, injections etc.
What has happened is that I had to arrange the injections, wanted to give them a week to settle in. After 5 weeks I ended up booking them in to a vets as she did not have time to do it. Once again not my cats, I am not listed as the owner with the vet. Whilst at this meeting vet talked about chipping both the cats when they were neutered. I wanted to book then but once again she said she would as they are her cats. Mention neutering a few times but get fobbed off. Boy cat gets older and starts humping sister. Sister is not happy. Litter tray start smelling of boy cat. I say he needs to be done, nothing happens for 3 days. So I organise him to be neutered. Massive argument as I am taking away choice for her. Boy has undescended ball so gets a few cuts on his tummy. Boy doesn't like bland diet of steamed chicken or fish with rice. So doesn't eat for a day (i wasn't here) seems a bit lethargic. He is not taking his pain meds as she is incapable of syringing liquid in to his mouth. So back to the vet. Pain shot and come back in 24hours. Pain shot means he is back to he usually jumpy self. She takes cone off as he doesn't like it. Then can't catching him to put it back on. He licks stitches and starts to bleed. So re install collar (it is a posh material one) clean wounds. Few hours later cone is off.Think it is him removing it, it is not it is her.
She seem to like having a ficcus plant in the house. The cats chew plastic, cardboard and anything else. Ficcus plants are poisonous to cats. Cats has been ill (poisened) from eating the plant. THREE trips to the vet for this, £300 a time for shots and blood tests. I throw plant away, plant comes back. Massive arguement about throwing her stuff away and as a retaliation she throws away my wireless keyboard and mouse to my mac.
Last night I had the joy of taking cat to the vet as it was the second time boy cat has been ill. Similar symptoms to last time, this time cost alot more for an emergency hospital visit. Which I paid and now am skint. Skint bit is annoying, seeing a poor kitten sick and you know what was responsible. How do you come to terms with that?
how close are to the person ??If your not close call rspca they will take and re home
If you are close have a massive heart to heart try to show that they are hurting kittens by not looking after them offer to take them on and you will bring them for visits ?
alternative arm the kittens with hammers and frozen sausages they will work out what to do.
