I would like to see a genuine connection with the people and constituency they represent, I have no idea on criteria or how to implement it.
Maybe a career in the Brexit dept beckons?

That's something you only really get with a disproportional electoral system like First Past the Post though.

Is it a worthwhile compromise?

I like the larger region idea where MPs for an area are ‘topped up’ to make it proportional but you still get constituent MPs.
