The bend (at attachment to the rack) is only going to be about 30Β°. Easiest option by far.
Attaching the rack to the headset cable hanger would make the whole set up stiffer and more stable but probably more work than it's worth.

Take an m5 tap to the little hole if it is not already threaded. -

To be clear it's not my work, all credit is due to Teo at Rijwielatelier 'de specialist' in Amsterdam (amazing chap, he'll take almost any bike for bodge repair no matter how fucked it is too). Ironically he didn't think it worth the trouble to take the crease out :)

Need an extra speed from your 11sp shifters? @Jaap , very cool work. More hack than bodge. -

I'm old enough to remember Joe Murrays kona leading link forks, which were only slightly more refined than those.... But also the retrofittable leading link suspension fork 'kit' that used linkages that bolted to your dropouts, and then bungee cords which wrapped around your fork crown from the ends of the links... Man that looked like straight up death! :)
Mert Lawill was about the only guy who got it right. -

Can't find a picture off hand of the bungee death fork, but this was the kona...

Tool free on site adjustment? Wrap more rounds for stiffer suspension. Brillant.

Only 2-3Γ the weight of a normal fork!

Yes! Awesome.
Wanted to do something similar when I took a welding class last year but I let people talk me out of it :(

Showing my age again here, but Phillipe Perakis used to kick ass on a not too dissimilar suspension setup! :)

Big boy chainring as well
Or run a support under the crown, should allow you to drop the straddle height almost by half
