I have done it, but I stripped the coating on the centre section of the Piegas and polished them first. They look great, sort of like vintage style bars and they work very well.

Looks like the valley between Orgiva and Trevelez. Love that region.

@amey @WimVDD similar looking and close but a bit further down at Mecina Bonbaron, and I cycled a bunch of gravel roads up and down from Yegen too. Plan had been to cycle parts of the transnevada today but I didn't have time. Got up to 1300m then came back down and did the tarmac, had planned all gravel from Yegen to Mecina up to the top and back down.
Amazing place to cycle, endless gravel roads, great tarmac too.

That's a good looking bike.
I've also been a few times to that region. My friend runs Cycle Sierra Nevada which is based in Velez de Benaudalla. Such a nice area.

(Also @Turkish)
They're in. Put up a bit of a fight. I put the stem in the bike and wrestled them in. A lot of wriggling and scratching, like you say!

I’ve just done this for my build. I will say it is very hard. Remove the bolt completely and try to prise the stem open slightly when it gets tight. But it will go on.

Slowly jumping on the gravel bike bandwagon. It’s an old Genesis Volare 2007 that I had stripped and then rattle canned mint green.
Going to use old stuff from the shed to build it up. 1x11 Shimano 105 with hson tb14 laced to 105 hubs. Her name is Gloria.

Something tied on a string and wrapped around the seat cluster?

Cool, love the orange paint!
I'm down in Andalucia once a year and finally got together a halfway-decent bike to keep down there. Quite last minute having seen a Straggler frameset on closeout, I grabbed it, stripped parts from some other bikes and sent it off ahead of me. Arrived yesterday and rebuilt I had a trip out on it today.
