Black highlight the lovely frame
-

I'd go silver to highlight the chrome. Maybe a black quill?
-

Silver quill, silver cranks and a carbon seatpost with dark groupset, black compact bars

Just built up for my girlfriend.
Reynolds 853, webbed lugs, wishbone seatstay, Centaur carbon 10spd groupset.Unsure of the exact history of the frame?? - but guessing it was fairly old with shifter bosses originally on the downtube.

An unusual frame - very tight clearances. usually older frames are
more relaxed ! -

Lower the seatpost a bit and level the saddle then that's brilliant. Any close up of the lugs?

Hope your girlfriend likes a big gear

Nice effort !

My initial thoughts it's was the claude butler professional that was 853 with webbed lugs but the seats stays join the seatpost lugs.
Perhaps it's been modified?
Love it great colour and condition. -

@ianjchip An unusual frame - very tight clearances. usually older frames are
more relaxed !Yeah, It is a bit different (kind of why I was drawn to it) my guess was a custom job.
It originally was bright orange and had some DIY stickers that said "Vickers" which didn't reveal anything onlineI Just about squeezed a set of 27's on - might look at some 25's next time.

Love it great colour and condition. Thanks! Funny you should mention the CB Professional - as thats what I took the fork from to match the frame. Perhaps it was modified.
@Miitch Heres a couple of photos the rear lug:
/ your right about that saddle!
Cant say I've seen a webbed, wishbone, seatclamp lug before?

Those arrowhead lugs are still available from long shen and can be bought from ceeways.
The seat post cluster lugs comes with lug joints for the seat stay, right under the bolt binder. So they appear have been filled off at point manufacture or afterwards.
I suspect that it's been done after as the builder could have bought another one off the shelf with out the seat stay joints in the first place. -

Well, it’s already done.

This is (now) my Ron Cooper, just really wanted a tribute to the great man himself. As most will know he passed away fairly recently. He freehand brazed and didn't use jigs. He believed it added to the stiffness and responsiveness. I really like the wishbone seatstays and the blended seat tube lug. I bought it off Kirk on here, he admitted the supplied bar combo was horrible so just swapped it out for classic cinelli 1a and some grey cinelli bars. Real stealth, the transfers being black, and even the usual world championship colours on the head tube badge are muted to shades of green. Just love this bike.
