    @inappropriate_bike this does sound like the option that makes the most sense. There's a slight alcove outside our office where I reckon we could hang 5 bikes tops, instead of having them all over the stairs.

    @Clockwise your point about the loading bay is solid. Having spoken to our facilities manager, it seems that you're right here and there's nothing that can be done down there.

    Further conversation with him leads to the fact that the landlords are a bit odd/tricky to deal with. They really don't want bikes in the building at all - which is pretty archaic. And we're pushing it as it is apparently. I believe it makes more sense in terms of aesthetics, maintenance and safety to have the bikes out of the way in an orderly manner, in a designated space - instead of cluttering the stairwell.

    The suggestion above to try and break down the maths to them to show the financial benefits is good. Anyone got any experience in convincing hostile building owners that allowing/providing bike storage is a good thing? Other than convincing them that it makes financial sense?
