  • Hi James
Any news? Paid up 2 weeks ago / sent DMs with no word.
    Cheers

  • Hi James, same here, parcel has not arrived. Could you provide tracking? Or if the stuff wasn't shipped yet, could we ask for a refund? It's been 10 days...
    Thanks, F

  • All PMs replied to.

I've sent all items out on Royal Mail 2nd class (happy to post receipts) within 48hrs of receiving payment.

I'm not quite sure if there's tracking for 2nd class postage, I'll look into it and give you all an answer as soon as I have one.

    James

  • FWIW my stuff arrived, albeit after nearly 2 weeks.

  • James, 2 weeks still no sign of delivery... can you please throw some light into this? what is going on? are you posting from china? is Royal Mail freaked out by posted liquids?

  • Mmmm shouldn't be a problem as I've sent a massive amount of them in the past.

I'll dig out the recipt for this tonight and see if I can track it. If not, I'll just send you some more out.

So sorry for being slow on getting this sorted.

    J

  • Hi James, any updates?. Sorry to insist but after 20 days still no parcel :/

  • Did you pay with goods and services or gift?

  • Hi Frank,

it's 2 parcels that I've had lost now for these (I have receipts for both). Sorry for late reply, I have been super stacked out this month.

Please let me know if you'd like me to send you some more out, or refund you.

    J

  • Let's try sending again (details over PM), will let you know if I end up with 2 parcels

  • Josh did you get your stuff? I have been waiting for a month...

  • Getting slightly confused? I've sent out 2 orders of this now and none of them have reached you?

    PM incoming

    Yes, Josh received his order:

"Hey, They were sat on my desk this morning, cheers for sorting that.
Look forward to giving them a go.

    Josh"

  • James, I don't doubt that you did send it twice. However nothing has arrived, either of the times. I am afraid there is not much more I can do beyond having paid on time and checked that the address is correct. Sorry if I was rude, just really confused by the whole thing...

I am as baffled as you are. Not sure what are the chances of Royal Mail loosing 2 consecutive parcels addressed to the same person but in hindsight we should probably used the registered option the second time around. I should have suggested this and offered to pay for extra postage at that moment, but unfortunately didn't.

I will drop you a line if any of the parcels does eventually show up.

  • Frank,

no problem, I'll refund you tomorrow.

If either parcels do turn up, please feel free to keep.

The only thing I can think of is that the bottles could have leaked (both times?) and RM have decided not to deliver, or quite simply thrown in the bin.

I sent out a large quantity of these in the past and had 2 bottles turn up soaked through as they had leaked in transit.

I sent yours and Josh's out at the same time, maybe this was the problem? The 2nd batch reached him fine (PM him if you'd like to confirm)

    James

  • Hi James,
Could we try sending the bottles inside a tied bag or zip bag?
Happy to pay extra for recorded delivery if you haven't made the refund yet. After all I still need to top up in bike cleaning products and your look pretty good! :)
Will also report on any extra deliveries and send back or pay for the goods if missing parcels do turn up eventually.
    Thanks for your help.
    F

  • Hi James, could you please get back to me? A month has already passed...
Another delivery attempt or refund, whatever is easier. But soon please

  • Outrageous

  • not really sure what happened here, but i can vouch for @JamesNQ, bought bottles from this thread when it first started and received them quickly. I'm sure this has just been an unfortunate sequence of events.

  • ^ seeing as we’re doing testimonials, I have dealt with James twice, once on here, where he sold me a job lot of items that arrived a few parts short. He said it didn’t matter as they were ‘cheap alloy seatposts’. Didn’t care enough to pursue it but I thought it was lackluster.

2nd time was through Ebay where he also had an account, I found out it was jamesnq later. I won a frame on an auction, he rapidly cancelled the sale under the pretense that I had terrible feedback (it was almost perfect... much better than his) and refunded me. He then acknowledged his mistake on here but couldn’t continue the sale of the frameset because he no longer had it.. he then relisted it on eBay a month or so later. Obviously didn’t go as high as what he was expecting. As an apology he said he’d source me a similar frame... lol. On this occasion his actions were disengenous but I guess quite amusing.

I think he’s just a shit / flakey seller, especially considering at the time he was operating as a ‘business’. He’s been called out by a few people but hasn’t done anything bad enough to warrant getting banned etc.

  • ∆ Cancelled your legitimate eBay purchase, due to your poor feedback, AFTER you'd paid him?

  • Yep- my feedback wasn’t poor btw..

  • I don't doubt Jame's quality as a human being, but as a seller he has been far from professional or fast at dealing with any of the problems that have arised... he said he posted the order twice but tbh nothing ever arrived and he has never provided proof of postage... I have checked the address provided was correct and offered to pay extra for a signed delivery but still waiting for a reply

  • Woah woah woah, I thought this matter was closed? My apologies, Frank.

I've just refunded you via Paypal, please confirm once funds have reached you.

My time on this forum is not as regular as it used to, so I'll sometimes check it a few days in a row and then not at all for a good few weeks.

I'm also a little disappointed the products didn't reach you, but as a last resort I'd be happy to send you the products without payment, and you pay for them when they've reached you, just to take the heat off? I understand you were looking forward to using them.

I'd also just like to mention that I was once in the business of buying and selling vintage bicycles and components, which I'd like to bet I had one of the largest collections in the UK, since I was buying whole collections off collectors. Combine this with my awful cataloging skills, regular cycle jumbles, various storage places and you've got yourself a recipe for disaster.

  • Money received James. Could you please send 1x wax and 2x sponge to the same address 2nd class signed? Happy to pay in advance or once goods reach me, whatever works bests

  • awesome, I'll get them out tomorrow.

No need to pay, just let me know once they've arrived and we can sort it then.

    James
