Or an RS-1, if less travel and less weight are required.

There's the X Fusion Revel too.

I was thinking more of the less money thing given that the others are only available second hand. :)

Hard call, between Shivers and DUC's.
Think the DUC had a 24mm axle so that added stiffness, but a lighter chassis so maybe some more give in the legs and crown.
Sideways cycles used to have old stock and spares but appear not to anymore. Finding spares will be ebay and most likely USA, although sideways might be a good starting place.
Ahead of there time when Maverick came out, shame they stopped production.
Only got to use the Dual crown as they where specced on the Whyte 46 which i was going to buy......Zocchi on the other hand, single crowns had a rep for being twangy when pushed hard, came in 120 and 100mm, open bath HSCV cartridge, standard bushes and seals, 20mm axle, coil springs,
Would be easier to rebuild a Shiver. -

Would have to check, but do the X fusion and RS-1 only come in tapered steerers ?
Always the Zocchi RAC if you can find one :)
Depends if you can use 1 1/8" or have a modern frame to hang the forks off :)

I should get a Honzo
Maverick were lighter, but they're both discontinued years ago so spares are harder to find. Maverick also had a specific hub/axle.
Could always go with a DNM USD 6 if you really want a single crown UD fork that's current?
Never ridden them, but I can't imagine they're any worse.
