Maverick were lighter, but they're both discontinued years ago so spares are harder to find. Maverick also had a specific hub/axle.
Could always go with a DNM USD 6 if you really want a single crown UD fork that's current? Never ridden them, but I can't imagine they're any worse.
Or an RS-1, if less travel and less weight are required.
