So what's everyones choice of bike for this? I'll be riding my (aluminium) Bowman Foots cray which also doubles as my commuter and all weather weekend bike.
It's got a 6700 / 6800 (cranks) mix on it currently so am hoping to fully upgrade to 6800 before departure. No Di2 or fancy hydro brakes as budget just doesn't allow. Spyres for me. Need some clip on aero bar recommendations too.
Girlfriend supportive. Just need work to approve the time off and sort out childcare logistics and should be good to go!
Off to workout best way to get to the start.
Feel like a fumbling virgin trying to work my way through the mountain of logistics required.
