You should also weight the faff factor. Not as easy as swapping wheels.

Any flared bars out there yet? On-One/PlanetX have some for £12.50 but I'd rather go even cheaper if possible - just want to experiment without committing too much cash

Cheaper than £12.50 for a pair of brand new handlebars?
At what price-point do you think, I'll just cut the middle-man out and smash my own teeth in with a piece of metal?

It's literally a single tube of aluminium, I'm sure it's possible to get one even cheaper. Also PX charge a few quid for postage. If there's nothing cheaper then that's fine, I'll just use my normal bars

This made me laugh

It defies reason that you can get something shipped from the other side of the world for less than from the other end of the country.
Likely quicker too.

Any disadvatages to buying novatec hibs from aliexpress? I'm finding it difficult to turn down a pair of 11speed QR disc hubs for $85
EDIT: Jesus - they arrived today. What's even the point in buying cheap tat off amazon when you can get it from China in a similar time?
-
• #6694
Did it come with a crown race? I assume so but not clear on the listing. Also do you think you could get the logos off or are they etched?
-
• #6695
Sorely tempted by these too!
-
• #6696
Came with a split one I think, logos are etched. "King" written 3 times around the circumference rather than 5 on real ones
-
• #6697
I got some for a wheelset, they were fine. cheapest place too.
-
• #6698
Likewise.
-
• #6699
Still got this?
I'd be interested in taking it off you!

Which shipping is the fast one on AliExpress? I seem to remember that China Post and AliExpress standard are slow. Is e-packet faster?
I was planning to keep my steel fork and switch between the two so I'd be fine with the functionality; it'd just be for road days.
I guess I should weigh my current fork though and see how much difference it's going to make first.
