• Sweet!

  • Bravo !

  • @hacha why don't you post it on pignonfixe.com ? I'm so triste. Your project seems so bien !

  • Because of my photobucket who really piss me off, but I will.. Later..

It's not a Masterpiece but the frame is straight and it's really interesting.

Fame is build from Columbus Zona, seatstays are Zona CX, Reynolds 631 for the fork, Paragon dropout..
Fillet braze everything except the fork crown witch is silver braze..

Clearance is 35mm with mudguard or 40mm without..

  • Jolis ces haubans!

  • Decided to update this thread, recently I've sold few thing, to get space, and justify buy new thing (I'm sure you do it too..)

Daccordi & Look are gone, but I still have some stable.

It seems that I'm unable to deal with my BMW addiction

Those days I've put my hand on some decent parts to feed the current project:

    A banana

Also found this interesting frame set (missing the OG fork) who makes two of my wishes in one shoot:

    • have chromed bike
    • have a vintage steel cx

& guess what, is exactly mi size.

    TIG welded, big clearance

    Tange 2B tubing

Family picture with his small brother

IMO it deserve a guilty top notch build, I've a spare 1 inch threaded steel CX fork, but a custom chromed 1 inch thread less with straight blade sounds better to me..

Opinion for the coming build ?

  • what are you going to do with the v2?

  • Build it in a city-bruiser mood.

Keep the V1 OG, a V2 in bruiser mood, and braze some V-brake plot on the V1/2 and go SSCX..

Did some polishing job today, before & after..

  • Are those hubs for the city bruiser or the sscx? ;)

  • City bruiser obviously !

They will be laced to 32 hole Mavic CXP12 grey anodized, probably crossed by 3 with DT competition spoke & DT brass nipples. Or maybe radial front and radial/crossed by 2 rear, but 32 is a but much for that..

It's in order to replace those

  • Had some stuff laying around for the Sunn CX, a DA 7800 long mech, 7410 front..

Found some titanium QR matching the Tech Hub, these are Shim compatible, had some XTR 9spd sprocket to go with..

But for the crank I cannot decide..
Got some cool stuff in stock, but a silver one would probably fit better..
    Opinion ? Maybe a 7400 or 7700 ?

  • 7400 looks ace, but you won't be able to fit anything lower than 38t on it.

  • That Stronglight is fire.

  • New Thomson stem/post on the V1, love this ride, but should build proper bombproof wheels..

  • So much dig. That Softail used to be an obsession of mine. More pics please.

  • Does anyone already experienced to ride fixed with a Campagnolo Ultra-Torque crank ?

Got this 1/8 Velosolo chainring and this crank laying around..

    I'm not a skid enthusiast..

  • Does anyone already experienced to ride fixed with a Campagnolo Ultra-Torque crank ?

Yes, many years, two sets of Veloce and two sets of Mirage, and I'm in the process of bringing a Fulcrum Racing Torq RS into the fixed stable. The hidden fifth bolt means you have to modify either the crank or the chainring if it is thicker than the stock one, and you need some shims if it is thinner. My blog is dead due to php version changes, so here are the pix.

  • thanks, my plan is to modify a bit the right crank arm, but I'm more worry about the chain line than the chainring compatibility.

Any chain line issue ? In the thread mentioned by @umop3pisdn someone said that the chainline goes to 46mm.. Is that right ?

Usually track crank chainline is around 42.5mm, maybe a simple spacer between the hub thread and the freewheel could do the trick ?

  • someone said that the chainline goes to 46mm.. Is that right ?

I think it's more like 47, depends a bit on which chainring you use

You're unlikely to fit that much packing behind a sprocket and still have enough thread engagement. Since all my fixie bieks use road cranks, I just rebuild my hubs to suit with customised axle parts.

  • Back from a muddy & shiny afternoon such good time on it..

Took advantage of the light to shoot most of my current "keeper"

This one just receive a 47 campy ring to match the drivetrain, a campy cog and a look titanium stem are on the way to complete the build..

The Work, missing a 20 teeth WI freewheel and a chain link (also some rust)

A temporary set-up of the latest V1 (thanks again @swedeee ), Record pista BB and Grand Mighty crank are definitive, everything else will be upgrade.

    I'm looking for a 29,8mm Elite seat and a 100mm X4..

This one is close of being finished, just need a bombproof wheelset (if anyone had some spare philwood silver hubs..)

Las but not least, maybe the one I like most, also the funniest, perfect city cruiser

Just received the pedals I was looking for

  • What are the bars on the Somec and Mash (I guess there are the same ?)

  • It's a no-name riser, bought several of them because they are quite wide for 25,4 bars, cheap and silver..
