Just 52? No inner. Strong legs.
Yes the final run in is downhill and rapid.
-
• #17003
Less strong legs, more no front mech or shifter to fit.
-
• #17004
Pedal harder, fatso.

hippy + skinny = skippy

• #17006
Sod that. I struggled on 42!

Good to see your embracing the positive self talk. You’ll go far.

• #17008
Oh dear.

I just actually looked at my data from last year. It wasn't that bad, must just be bad memories.

Is it social acceptable (in the weird world) of time trialling, to warm up on my lemond revolution at 9am? Perhaps people will just think there is a helicopter near.

Check local regulations on the start sheet, some venues ban turbos due to noise complaints from local residents.
-
• #17012
Yeah I couldn’t see anything on start sheet. But also, a lemond is just slightly louder than a normal turbo!
-
• #17013
No problem with turbos, car park is away from houses on school grounds , just park at the back😉 if I hear a helicopter I know it’s only your warm up. See you Sunday!

Great thanks!

Do you think the graphics are removable?

• #17016
Nah laser etched. Just perminient marker them.

• #17017
Have you tried it out yet?

What's the recommended bike/tyre choice for a 0°C TT? I'm off at 8.42 and I'm not particularly keen on writing off the TT bike on ice.

If I genuinely thought there was going to be patches of ice I wouldn't race. If you hit ice on a corner with a 20mm supersonic or a 25mm Gatorskin the result will be the same.
-
• #17020
If there was ANY risk of ice I would be using my Sleep-In bike with my Sofa tyres.

Or even a 40mm G-One. The only thing which is going to save your skin on ice is spikes.

I did nearly TT on Schwalbe Ice Spikers once, but the actual weather turned out much warmer than forecast.
-
• #17023
I think a UK weather forecast was accurate once, back in 1987, it was a Sunday, in June.

Glad the general consensus isn't "man up"! It's the unpredictability of the forecast that's annoying. If it was definitely icey then I wouldn't ride. Problem is: what if there's only a few patches of frost or icey puddles? I could take the winter bike with clip ons and 28s inflated to 60psi just to go round relatively safely or commit to full TT setup. Probably best to wait until Saturday night before making a decision in any case.

Captain HTFU says "ice is for your drinks, not the road, fuck that shit"
If you're riding around leisurely due to shit conditions, what is the point of riding it at all? It's Feb, do a turbo session and save it for warmer weather.
We did, yeah. I was with @cjr
I’m going with 52 / 11-28. Seemed fine on the hills on Saturday. Maybe even spun out a bit on the decents.
