“weight 2.8kg”
Holy shit!

Sadly that’s a bit crazy, otherwise that’d make a great beater.

28.6mm seat tube; 25.4mm seatpost.
That's some gas pipe right there.

I'm tempted if only to put some spares into use... once it got rolling it'd be ok I'm sure... Someone on the forum must have one?

Hi Lemonade, what fork are you using on that? I want to upgrade mine to a disk but still retain a decent tyre clearance as I'm using 32mm XN Pros as it gets a bit of offroad action from time-to-time

Surly disc trucker. Easily fits 35c tyres and mudguards

Thanks, I've literally just been offered a carbon fork for it from a mate but if that doesn't work out I'll go for the surly one

What’s the basket (wald?)and how wide are your bars?
-
• #6989
I was really enjoying the BMX bars, but thought I was getting lazy so moved back to more of a normal cockpit.
I realize now that I've had this bike longer than any other bike. I just keep bringing it back and changing it up.. really enjoy it. Still pretty sad they are going to discontinue these.

Yeah, agree. I am still loving mine after bit over 12 months, original planetx wheels cracked, replaced with velocity aero’s and freewheel now white industries replaced rubbish mx30.

Pictured setup fixed though right?
-
• #6992
Nah, never had setup as fixed..yet

On this one don't know, but on mine i have an big wald basket with 46cm cowchipper bar, works fine. Can post a picture if needed.
-
• #6994
The basket is a Wald medium, and the bars are 420mm I think. They only just fit, I haven't ridden it like this yet but I'll probably have to put my thumbs in the basket if I want to use the drops!
I'll get a pic when I get home. -

Not sure what finish I'm going to go for on these yet but I've just picked these up to enable me to fit a front disc and hopefully save a bit of weight on the front end...

Yah, taken away by my patience. These cantis drive me crazy, will be swapping with better but uglier v-brake very soon. Any suggestions are welcome.

Tektro mini v would be a good shout.

@AussieHoss Mini V won't offer adequate space for mudguard between tyre & cable. Go for a Full sized V
