I had a different spexcel gilet, seemed fine initially but the zip is shit. After a few rides it wouldn't do up or undo without splitting. Wouldn't recommend it.

I've got a spexcel gabba copy with a similar issue. I can zip it up and pull it over my head, but my gut splits it if I try zipping it up whilst it is on.
You may want to size up as well.

cheers might avoid then!

Got 2 of them here, not used yet but they look fine.
-
• #6658
Yeah ‘twas me. I used it for six months, it was fine. No play or wear after that time but can’t say much else really. It’s a decent headset for £13 logos aside

Thanks, just saw this pic and realised i've seen you a few times in regients actually
But I didt know who it was obviously, what fork is that btw?
-
• #6660
Yep, that's long gone now though. I think it was from either a felt or kona of some sort but I bought it from Hulsroy already rattlecanned black and then sold it again on here so I'm not sure
-
• #6661
Ohhh if you got it off him I know what it is. thanks!

• #6662
Is it carbon? I'm considering a non-tapered-steerer carbon fork. Seems like there's only 1, a Kinesis CX fork or something like that. Maybe it was Ritchey/Ridley.
-
• #6663
It was carbon with alu steerer
-
• #6664
Sweet. Hopefully the same model is cheap/still available. Edit: depending on clearance
-
• #6665
Had massive clearance. But as I said, I don’t know what the fork was so can’t help. Spotter might shed some light
-
• #6666
Arkose levels of clearance?

No stupid logos and looks ok - only dowside is that they open harder (need to use both hands) then originals.

These are also these:
https://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/radon-carbonfork-1-1-8-for-disc-83031also whisky and ali express
-
• #6671
I saw that one but at 900g and €150 it's a tough sale. Whisky a bit out of my price range.
Actually I just remembered the CdF carbon fork. Might try to get ahold of one of them.
-
• #6672
I own one of these, pretty solid thing. Wouldn't pay 150 for it though.
-
• #6673
Pretty sure they got recalled.
-
• #6674
Balls. They seem to be still for sale here...
Also just found this Lynskey but seems to be out of stock everywhere.

I'm going through this thought process atm too, finding it's barely worth it going for carbon over a straggler or similar fork, weight savings aren't much and the drop in functionality is quite large
anyone got on with the spexcel gilets? https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/SPEXCEL-2018-All-New-PRO-TEAM-CYCLING-WIND-Vest-Super-Lightweight-cycling-Gilet-easy-to-carry/2219030_32849839196.html?spm=2114.12010615.0.0.190727abnbi34l
