There used to be three guys who'd hang around Liverpool street station, two would be checking out bikes while the third sat around the corner with a front wheel and back wheel, anyone unlucky/stupide enough to have locked their bikes up through the wheel with quick release would often come back with a single wheel. Reported them to the cops at Bishopsgate not sure what happen. This was about 4 years back.
