I love this thing.

It look unwieldy at rest but as I say it's an impressive ride quality, in fact they have been used competitively by elite triathletes because of the ease of taking them by air. Fits in what will pass for a regular suitcase on most airlines avoiding the 'sports equipment tax'.

Completely custom built Airnimal Chameleon including special factory paint.
Originally an expensive special order from the UK factory I bought this from the original owner on behalf of a friend and fitted some further upgrades and customisations for her preferences - change in circumstances means she now needs a Brompton so I am selling on her behalf. The Chameleon only comes in two sizes and this is the smaller of the two. There is scope for a lot of adjustment in fit without buying more parts - the original owner was tiny, 2nd owner average for a woman, in the photos it is set up for me at about 5'10" - seat height 75cm, setback 6cm, reach to bars 52cm. I can swap out the stem and/or saddle and/or seat post if you think you need something different.
All you need to know about Airnimal is on their website and this is a link to the Chameleon page specifically. These bikes are not intended to be like a Brompton, the main USP is a bike that will fit in a suitcase for travelling (or a small car) but has the ride quality of a 'proper' road bike. I have ridden this one a couple of times and the ride is very impressive - nippy, comfortable, good handling - once you get used to wondering where the front wheel has gone you can forget you are on an unusual bike. It does actually come with a soft holdall that allows you to sneak it on a train as 'normal' luggage where bikes might be a problem, it's just not as compact or quick to fold and probably not train-commuter fare.
So apart from the custom paint which is in excellent condition, spec is as follows:
Campagnolo 10s Centaur PowerShift Ergos
Centaur 10s 53-39 172.5mm PowerTorque chainset
Centaur medium cage rear mech
Veloce front mech
Campag Skeleton brakes
Miche 12-27 cassette
KMC-X10-EL chain
New cables and bartape
Velo Orange Grand Cru layback seatpost (new)
Charge Spoon saddle (new)
Thomson Elite x2 13cm stem
Deda RHM-01 bars
Quick-release steerer (allows removal without disturbing headset adjustment)
Wheels - handbuilt - Alex R390 rims on Hope ProIII hubs
Tyres - Schwalbe Durano Raceguard folding 23c
Twin rear-mount bottle cages
The gear range is equivalent to a compact chainset on 700c wheels so pretty wide and it climbs well. The wheels are a big improvement on the stock ones and are in excellent condition. It is virtually unused since the rebuild due to illness of 2nd owner.
Comes with a boxed new spare tyre, 2 spare tubes and the aforementioned soft bag/holdall. I think I have a pair of custom SKS Raceblades somewhere as well.
Pedals shown not included but plenty of others to choose from.
Viewing/collection in SE1 near Waterloo, though I will consider posting in UK.
