Good work, Kernel have just bought out a sour cherry one this week which is delicious
-
• #6728
If I see it I'll grab it. Ta.
I was going to go to Brewdog to try some of the Crooked Stave but we were both pretty tired after Sunday's audax so pulled the pin on that. Not sure they'll have any left now although hard to gauge UK demand for sours isn't so much.

Bottle shop have crooked stave sour bottles if you ever fancy them
-
• #6730
Every now and then I get hold of one but as I'm not huge sour fan it's better for me to get a flight rather than drop ££ on a big bottle I'm not fond of.

Does anyone know where I can find a shop (one with a door - not online) that sells nice European beer glasses ?
-
• #6734
If you don’t want branded glasses then John Lewis is probably a good bet
-
• #6735
I looked at John Lewis - not much choice and expensive.
There is a good selection of glasses online e.g. https://www.belgianbeerfactory.com/en/beer-glasses/ but the shipping of glass puts me off.
I just thought there maybe a shop I could go into - a brew shop or something ? -

If you really want to avoid online, whole foods are good for gift packs of beers with a glass. They usually have delerium, Duval and Westmalle and few others. If you want tulip type glasses but not Belgian, beavertown and Camden breweries sell them at their tap rooms for a couple of quid.
Edit - actually I think Camden just do English style but beavertown definitely do tulips.
https://shop.beavertownbrewery.co.uk/collections/glassware/products/skull-logo-stem-glass-stem-glass it says 4 quid on the site but I've bought a couple at the tap room and I'm sure they were 2.50, anyway it's an excuse to cycle up there for a pint or 2.

Thanks
Went down to Wholefoods today but they said they only do the gift packs of beers with a glass at Christmas.
I'll probably go online. -
• #6739
If you can find them M&S are clearing their Adnams brewed Sorachi Saison and Flat White Porter for £1 a bottle
-
• #6740
Ah, sorry, I've definitely picked up gift packs outside of Christmas but that was a while ago. If you're gonna go online check out belgiuminabox.com the delivery is pretty reasonable and the selection is pretty immense. Amazon has a lot but the delivery pretty spicy.
I'm a sucker for a glass too!

Went to Tapped yesterday and had the six Tiny Rebel 6th Birthday beers.
Didgeridank IPA - Imperial / Double 5%
Can't We All Just Get Oolong - IPA - English 5%
Tai Chi Sour - Farmhouse IPA 4.1%
There's Always Honey In the Banana Stand - Specialty Grain 5.6%
Cheeky V - Sour/ Gose 4%
Orange Mocha Frapp Stout - Stout 7%
The Oolong and Tai Chi were a bit 'meh' but I'd recommend the others.

Looks very much like the Axe. Enjoyed the Glory TIPA there the other night. Verdant Track & Field was on as well which was just as great as everything that Verdant do

Anyone get any of the Cloudwater Birthday DIPA? Got 6 cans to split with my housemate and both of us wish we'd only bought one after trying it. Not sure if its hop burn and will settle or just not really to my taste. Will give it another go obviously, for science

If you need help removing beer from your property, I've already offered my services to the Teetotal thread, same applies here...

Need to try more Verdant stuff; had the Beavertown collab and Pulp from my local bottle shop and they were superb

They did a tap takeover at realale the other week.

Sitting in the Beer Merchants tap room. If you like Belgian beers on tap at pretty decent prices get on down. It's a nice, big space, not sure about the corkage charge on bottles though.
Got a big bottle of Kernel Raspberry Saison. Nice. Better than the Partizan Raspberry Lemon we had first.
