  • Fuuuuuuu......

    Glad she's OK.

  • Yeah, same. I dread those early morning phone calls - it's always bad news.

Tonight's lesson will be teaching her the mid-panel slap, for maximum internal noise to alert unobservant drivers, followed by the Rear Window Bike Toss.

  • Advanced body hiding....

  • So following on from fridays near fatal with a stagecoach bitch who would not reason . I reported her

    This back today :

If the CCTV shows what you reported, we will take disciplinary action against the driver. I cannot go into the specifics due to data protection
but for this type of incident it is treated very severely.

    Stagecoach .

  • Under the data protection act I believe you are able to request the footage (should you wish)

  • Cheers . May do thanks for the heads up . Right now one is happy to just make her life difficult but then again she wouldn't of ended up mangled by a bus.

  • ^^ this, if you’re serious - subject access request - standard online legal-type templates available and they have to respond to a written request within 40 days (they can charge a tenner for the privilege)

I’d just stick with what you’ve already done, if it were me though.

  • r u gonna fuck him up or what?

  • Why is the rego covered?

  • Everybody gets one...

  • no second chances for drivers ever, if you are sat behind a wheel of a 2 tonne behemoth you are not allowed mistakes especially in an urban environment with vulnerable road users around.

    fuck him up.

  • Uber?

  • How'd he get in there?

  • I don't think it was Uber, had some other kind of logo on the back. He knew he had fucked up and was being given enough grief by everyone else. If they had have been bombing up there to avoid traffic, then all bets would have been off. A condescending glare was enough for me.

  • My guess is they were heading East on Webber St. or Boundary Row and turned left onto Blackfriar's too tightly. That's usually what happens.

  • A similar extremely apologetic driver drove over my missus' bike at maybe 5mph at the Aldwych/Lion king cycling only lights. She realised it was happening while on the bike and got off and saw her Talbot crushed under the car.

The driver was a nice guy; maybe even a labour remainer but no mistakes are allowed behind the wheel

Reporting him might not result in much but there is a hope that it might result in design change some day, if it was me I'd report it. Plus its about attitude change of drivers than anything.

  • Well done on not going full Internet justice warrior on him. As a cyclist, driver and motorcyclist, mistakes happen. As long as he wasn't going through at 20mph, then he's probably learnt his lesson.

  • I’m with Amey. I so often nearly get killed on the road and receive an apologetic wave. One mistake behind the wheel can end lives. Granted that doesn’t seem very serious but you aren’t allowed to make mistakes. Or you shouldn’t be.

  • ironically looks like its opp palestra where the incompetent designers of the junction sit lol

  • Walkenger/Trainenger commute from last night, right outside morden station some twat went and did this during rush hour.

This is about 30yds from the crossing I have weekly near misses from cars driving through without slowing whether you are on the crossing or not. Have actually had to jump out of the way of cars before that just drove at me while in the middle of the road.

Genuinely hope no one was badly hurt but you don't do that much damage if you're driving sensibly especially wet/dark rush hour conditions in an area rammed with pedestrians (and especially not between a ped crossing and a set of traffic lights only 100m apart).

    streetview: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.4015615,-0.1930121,3a,75y,285.29h,67.54t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sZyo4LQg2JkxYDvpUaB23iw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

  • Some prat walked out into the road looking the opposite direction in front of me. Was only going about 4mph due to peds about - watching for exactly this to happen - but the mild skid from the back wheel as I pulled the back brake drew gasps of "he's skidded!! FUCKING CYCLISTS GOING TOO FAST" from other prannies milling about.

A mild jogger would have overtaken at the speed I was going.

  • Wow, we had an overturned car up on Church Rd in SE19 one long straight road, makes you wonder how they managed to flip a car.

  • I believe I can fly!

I believe I can touch the sky!
