theres tons of good stuff on there at mo, never write it down fast enough to follow up.......

Each DJ should have an 'episodes' bit on their page with the last weeks worth of shows listed by date on each of them. If you click through the show you want and scroll down it should provide the playlist.

Massive thread re-animation, but I made myself chuckle just now:

Really liked 6 Music when it started , but now they just play the same songs every hour it's become a grown up Radio one

When the only tolerable DJs are Mark and Lard, it actually is Radio 1 from 25 years ago.

as a grown up that liked mark and lard (well, lard), i find it is fine.
Sometimes excellent on sundays, OK in the evenings. I don't mind Sean Keaveny in the mornings.
I'm usually at work the rest of the time, I think daytime lets down all radio!

All of the BBC network bar R4 and R5 for sport is dreadful. To be fair, some of the specialist shows on 6 Music are great.

Radio 2 is now as bad as commercial. They just played Spiller, Groovejet.

6 Music is great apart from the more commercial shows (for me anyway). Remember that they still have to cater for idiots that like shit music, even though it is supposed to be a serious music network.

Fucking hell. Fearne Cotton is standing in for Ken Bruce. Vernon Kay will be on next at this rate.

It’s the endless birthday shout outs I can’t stand. Why not just call them or send a card like a normal human being.

Evenings are best on 6 music, Gideon Coe and Tom Ravenscroft being the two i mainly listen to.

6 is my go to radio station, but why the f do they insist on every trailer containing somebody laughing?

I think it’s great, I love Sean Keavney in the morning - nice and quiet. They do have a playlist during the day, but it’s pretty bloody good and you get stuff like sunn o))) being played at 2.00 on a Tuesday. You’re not getting that anywhere else. Marc Riley’s my fave.

6Music trailers are pretty annoying. Apart from the ubiquitous radio-voice-over voice that everyone has, what's with people speaking as if down a telephone and then normal again, in the same sentence?! Bizarre.

Still it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that most of the new (/old) music I've bought in the past few years has been a direct recommendation from Gideon Coe, Marc Riley, Tom Ravenscroft or Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone. (Maybe I need to get out more.) For a commercial radio station I think it's pretty good.

I find 6 music annoys me more often than not these days, although I still seem to tolerate it. Lammo and Mary Anne Hobbes I particularly cannot stand.

I miss iggy’s show, which was fantastic.

It's the women that are the worst - Mary-Anne Hobbs, that Welsh one, Annie Nightingale's reanimated corpse - they make me really angry by being so shit they let the whole sisterhood down.
