    Aren’t we a bit bored of the I’m different excuse from every athlete that tests positive, all vow to clear their name. Of course some do but it seems to me as a layman that more don’t.
    By going this route it raise the stakes, of he is proven guilty in my opinion it further tarnishes sport.

  • I get your point, but he hasn’t been caught with a car boot full of banned substances, nor has his blood been found in a clinic in Madrid. He’s seemingly over done his asthma medication, and, under due process, has the right to demonstrate how that happened.

    He’s in a no win situation, if he races he’s condemned, if he took a voluntary suspension until he was cleared or banned, he’d be condemned.

    Physiologically speaking, he probably is. There's not that many riders that have been as successful at GTs without a load of EPO pumped into them, not in recent years anyway.

    He's still a filthy cheat. Because SKY :)
