What's the distance between two adjacent bolts? It's easy enough to work out from geometry. Is that how you got the 47mm figure?

I think the distance was around 28mm.
I have also found online someone confirming that these cranks have a different bcd to the stronglight 5bolt cranksets. However someone mentioned it possibly being 55bcd. Who knows...

Here's a hideous sketch. Just divide the distance between two neighbouring bolts by sin(36°). If it's 28mm between bolts the BCD is 47.6mm.

Edit: Sounds like you already did this calculation as you said 47mm up the thread!
