Thanks ppl! The rear wheel turned out to be 7 speed so now i have 9/10 cogs installed of my ten speed setup. Need a new rear wheel and the handlebar sits tad bit far for my liking for relaxed city bike. Most likely ill pick up hi rise parisien bars from Pelago next week

The frame is pleasantly stiff as the chainstay and fork tubes are unbutted, thick and round

This, it's the tyres putting people off.

And the rims. Black/black would be much nicer

In this case it looks like a cheap and cheerful choice/parts bin build.

Steel fork
Reducer headset
1x9 drivetrain (alfine crankset, xtr rear mech, deore shifter)
big fat tyres and rims (folding kojaks).
rides real nice. lovely and long, (61cm top tube).
back brake squeaks like a motherfucker but i think thats the pads - i can chuck some more in.
easy to wheelie. those big tyres on the fat rims soak up everything.

Anyone still rolling on majestic 26" tested any new fangled lightweight tyres? Really regret getting rid of Thunder Burts, and can't source them where I am.

Not so new-fangled, but if you can get hold of some S-Works Fast Traks, they're pretty zippy

I think I might have already posted them, though. They´re from about a year ago. Now has same fork but shorter A-C, front rack and GB mudguards (as pictured above).

Maxxis Larsen TT folding is 550g. It's a DH tyre but found it's actually quite versatile.

Maxxis Pace is 550g as well I think.

Conti Race Kings are also light.

Still no Thunder Burts at 400 odd.

I've tried the Larsens and currently running the Ikon on the rear, but really not a fan, despite it having a decent profile, and being damned superb the looser the terrain it gets (awful in UK mud), neither are particularly fun to roll around on if it gets smooth in any way.

Conti Speed Kings are 430g on 26x2.25. The rolling resistance is impressive, really close to RTPs if not faster (said by a friend who rides RTPs after testing out my Contis).

They are super thin though. Quite easy to get a flat in off road use, still can´t wait for summer to install them again.
