    Taking a spacer out of the NDS to fit a 130mm hub into a 126mm frame makes the dish even worse than it already is. That wouldn't be my first choice given that @Thoma will have a passenger sitting over the rear axle, albeit a light one.

  • I was under the impression that those are 126 hubs that was used for 130 spacings often found on budget/dept. store bikes which still uses 7 speed groups, as iirc one type of hub was available both 126 and 130 spacing.

    But cannot argue about the wheels strength point there especially this will be used for ocarrying a child :)

    That's a possibility, in which case you are only going from the improved dish of a 130mm 7-speed to the standard dish of a 126mm 7-speed :)
