I have for sale a flying gate, currently built up as single speed. I always intended to put some gears on but lack of use forces sale.
Specs are:
Frame measures 56cm square
27” wheels in a chrome finish with alloy brake track
Stronglight drillium chainset (currently a double as I intended to add derailleurs)
Campag record headset
Itm eclipse stem – 130mm
Deda classic handlebars – 42cm
Trp drillium levers
Mismatched shimano front and rear cantilevers
Brooks b17 saddle
Schwalbe tyres in 28c
The frame is really beautiful but looks to of had a repair at the headtube at some point as it has been left raw aside from that the frame is fully chromed.
When I bought it it had TJ Cycle decals but they were in a sorry state so I stripped them off only leaving the 531 decal.
I have a bobbin chrome rack currently fitted due to having to carry a picnic on the tweed run earlier in the year!
There seems to be an intermittent squeaking from the bottom bracket despite it being new so may need a tighten/service. Will make a beautiful project if someone wants to restore it to its original beauty!
Despite the rarity of the frameset and how wonderfully shiny it is I’m only looking for £350 OBO
