The adapter I have that takes 15mm down to QR is a specially machined tube arrangement. I wonder if using a straight bore tube will cause issues.

Not sure how necessary the ridges are, but the adapter is directional so they must have some purpose.
I wanted to get this thing rideable for tomorrow. Clearly bike companies have other ideas. I thought I was so clever getting the rear hub conversion in advance...
