Yeah. If you're at your limit in your lowest gear and you hit a bit of a headwind you're screwed. I ride around on 50/34 and 11-32. 11-36 for touring. #weakling

Back on topic I’m gonna buy the bits, but I’ll definitely fuck up the install, so I think I’ll get BC to do it for me

Also 48-40 is considerably longer than 34-32 so I’m confused what you are taking about

I meant that I'm a weakling, riding around on 34/32 or 34/36, and that generally it's better to have too low a gear than too high a gear.

Wasn't calling you a weakling!
