Bit of a strange question...
I purchased a pair of jeans a while ago from Levis, which turned out to be women's.
I have 0 problems with wearing a pair of jeans that are marketed to women, as I'm quite a strange shape, and they are the only jeans I've ever purchased that I've been 100% happy with. They weren't flowery or had anything on them that youl could tell they were women's, other than small (almost non existant) front pockets.
The first pair ripped at the crotch after 6 months, so did the second pair.
I recently took the pair back to Levis and they refused to let me have another pair of womens jeans, but instead only let me have a pair of male jeans.
I accepted the pair of male jeans, but I'm really unhappy with them, they fit terribly. I don't want to get them tailored as there's a pair of jeans sitting in Levis right now that they simply won't let me exchange :(
I was thinking of maybe selling the male pair and going back and purchasing the female pair?
I also don't want to cause a fuss, but I think it's maybe a bit bad that they didn't let me have a pair of jeans that I really loved, because they were for a female?

Pretend they are for your girlfriend/sister/whatever.

Tell them to fuck off, it is none of their fucking business what you choose.

Ask them if they would refuse to repair/replace a pair of mens jeans that were worn by a woman. Mention that their answer will be tweeted to all your followers (dont mention how many you have, unless you have loads).

I can see their issue if they're repeatedly being asked to replace them. Not to put too fine a point on it, men and women are designed differently at the crotch which could well be causing them to keep failing. If they're being asked to replace them for free every six months I can well see why they'd refuse after the second time.

Care to elaborate ;)

Mmmm, the lady did say to me they couldn't exchange them due to there being actual differences in the cut, as it was the second time they had gone in exactly the same place.

Seriously though, are you trying to get a new pair under warranty as you are tearing them due to your gentleman's sausage, or just wanting to buy another pair?

I'm aware I've probably opened myself up to hundreds of innuendo comments, but I find male jeans have waaaaaay too much room in the crotch. I wear underwear and don't walk around with a (well, not constant) erection, why so much space?
@coldharbour I'm wanting to take this pair that they gave me back and get another pair of women's jeans, but I don't think they'll let me have them, as I've taken 2 pairs back already.
I've tried about 10 different manufacturers of decent quality jeans, none of them fit like the women's ones

But so you want them for free? That's my point. If we didn't look at it in a gendered way, but rather in terms of someone coming in who was 22 stone and wanting to replace a pair of 26" waist jeans that would be tight on @Howard I would have thought they would be well within their rights to say that they had not been used as intended. Clearly you don't have as much room in the crotch as you thought!

Thing is I train pretty hard at the gym these days (do you even lift bro) and my thighs are massive, considering I'm only 5'10.
The only jeans I can find that fit me are female skintight jeans :( I've tried every single major manufacturer to get something that will fit. I'm currently wearing the pair of Levis I left the store with, and I'm really unhappy with them.

Outside of the amazon, most women tend towards smaller thighs...

Maybe get a decent pair of jeans from a decent shop with the right fit and buttons instead (I am assuming) a zipper and they’ll fit very nicely indeed. Cheap jeans are shit, including Levi’s. Even Levi’s LVC are pretty meh.

I used to have a pair of Levi’s Patty Anne skinny women’s jeans and they were some of my favourite jeans I’ve ever owned

Well I used to work in a clothing retailer where we'd sell Jacob Cohen, Armani, Hugo Boss, plus a few other brands that I can't remember.
Even with a on-site tailor and loads of jeans to choose from, I could never quite find the right ones :(
Tempted to just buy another pair of jeans that last 6 months and then when they tear, just get a family member to go in and exchange them?

.. free repairs...
Yep used them loads. I'm just pretty pissed off at how soon I am using them with a near £300 pair of jeans. I feel sick even typing that.

Is it one the seam? Wonder if the stitching has just come apart (still annoying) but I’ve had that before.

Pretty much this.
Also you can get jeans altered in the waist, leg length and leg width pretty easily.

No offence but you've just named a load of shit brands who make bad, bad jeans. Buy jeans from a brand who specialise in jeans and don't expect them to last if you ride a bike in them. Sounds like you need a pair of Edwin's. Nice entry into the world of decent jeans.

Oh and even though it can be costly, go to Son of a Stag, tell them what you want and they'll have the right pair.

300 notes for a pair of Nudie?!?
-
• #2924
Fuck me... 270 notes for a pair of jeans made with 30% paper... and they look gash!

I might we wrong but I'm sure when I first read about those paper Nudies one of the things they listed as a "selling point" was that they wear a lot faster than normal denim
Nudie shop in Soho do free repairs for own brand.
They have a lovely rare vintage singer darning machine.
