maybe its always like this
I have seen minor police stations close before,
https://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/local-news/harefields-police-station-close-following-5968034
(Harefield's was just a semi-detatched house, and was particularly useful
when the Met had a specific 'Wildlife' Officer in LB Hillingdon,
to eradicate badger baiting in this urban fringe),
but,
I've never seen purpose built 'new', (built late '80s or early '90s), police stations like Uxbridge close before,
and it is Uxbridge rather than Hayes, solely because the Uxbridge site has greater development potential, (pronounced 'unaffordable town centre flats').
Seems like post Tottenham riots nothing has been improved to prevent similair happening.
Youth provisions like youth clubs were slashed in the run up to the riots. Policing seems fucked and with some kids now willing to embark on pretty audacious criminal behavior I wonder how big the fallout from another Mark Duggan type event. Or maybe its always like this but im just of an age to care now.
