  • This is my current thinking for the dynamo set up for the new beik. Is there a better wiring option? I did think of putting the cache before the light but the AXA Luxx70 has a standing light (4 minutes) so I assume it has a small cache battery built in. And I'm assuming the the inbuilt cache won't work with the inbuilt USB as it's before the light in the schematic (pass-through USB when nothing is plugged in).

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Looks alright. I'd be interested in hearing about the performance of the axa70, both in terms of lighting and charging.

Otherwise what @AlfredIV says, and you can get a light that doesn't do charging.

Edit: you may also go for a simple usb power pack that you charge on the light/dyno and then use to charge other stuff. Admittedly the faff factor is greater. I'd also be interested in learning about power packs that can charge stuff and be charged at the same time :)

I know the Supernova rear is only designed to work off the front light output from a Supernova (someone else will chime in about it being DC when they're normally AC or vice versa). Are you sure the Supernova rear will run off that AXA light?
