I'm a fan of the Shaw Brothers, but have never heard of YWP.
At least I didn't think I had, but I was just about to mention my favourite recent martial arts flick is Kung Fu Hustle and when I checked saw he'd choreographed some of the fight scenes.
And they're outstanding. Throw in some laughs, a bit of magical realism and a little Baz Lurhmann and you have some solid entertainment!
There is a special quality to YWP early films which makes them stand out and The Miracle Fighters is something else with comedy and a supernatural /magic /fantasy edge.
