  • The trick is I need to make a shitload in a short space of time. I have a big thermos to fill along with a big travel cup.
V60 seems to be the best method for me and I’d rather avoid buying another bit of kit, I just get annoyed at using 2-3 filters in the morning by the time Liz has made hers too.

Not fussed about the best quality cup as I use cheap French supermarche beans during the week.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, will try the Kinto and report back.

  • I know you say you don't want another piece of kit, but...

Sounds like you need a Chemex (I've got the 1.4l version) with a cloth filter (note, I've not actually used a cloth filter so can't give an informed opinion on it).

  • Chemex via cloth filters is nice. A friend who runs a café used to make them for us when he had space time. Cleaning the filter seems to be a bit of a faff though.

@edmundro I know you said you didn't want more kit but...how about a large cafetiere? Granted it won't produce the same type of flavours as a v60 but you'll be able to make a greater volume in one go though.
