My effort, not quite there yet.
Been sat in bits for 2 years, but rainy day, kids being away and a bit of YouTube guidance, and a few hours later you have this

That's smashing! Lovely frame and lovely colour!

What groupset is that?

• #805
looks like veloce? Some of it anyway...

Cheers! I wasn’t looking for a pink frame but when I saw it hanging in a shop window I just had to have. Then it took me 2 years to work out how to build it

Look forward to seeing the end result. Would be cool to see how the Duracoating goes as well

Its about mixture, mainly Veloce, but Record front mech and Daytona shifters. My brief to myself was that everything had to be Italian. The tyres and Tange Seiki headset are not

This guilty Neo retro is pure Fun !
But this 140 stem must be sorely lacking stiffness, no ?

I have this at home now
Seems like a good candidate for ‘modern on old’. I also like it because it’s a bit battered already.
If I ever get the funds together (and myself organized) I’m thinking Sram force with silver stem seatpost bars etc..

Good shout on the SRAM Force. I think different combinations of silver/black kit could work.. here's a nice example I'm liking from the Gazelle thread.

Needs DA9000 :)

I've got one of these spare:
Would look perfect with the chunky tubes.

Really like this polished fizik post, modern made to look classic
Also +1 for force
Also matching groups are so 2017. Cranks are the only stand out bits of groupsets, if shimano then just put older ultegra on it and DA9000 cranks.
For example my caad with sram red 10 speed and currently etap cranks -

Yeah I agree. I’m a fan of tig steel stems.. what’s the reach on it?
-
• #821
Lovely, but I fear 130mm might be a bit of a stretch for me on a 58tt frame!

That’s a relief. I’ve never been very good at matching group sets.. that polished fizik post does look great. I imagine it’d be a fair amount of work to get it looking so shiny :s

Plus if you go force, you don’t need those silver Rival cranks ;)

@Super_Ted 's
I'm getting a DA 7300 chainset duracoated to match the DA 7900 colour. No plan to change the bars yet but I'll get a Thomson seat post and some gumwall gravel kings next.
