This pomp makes me want a pomp back every damn time, 10/10

So rock and roll, fucking around with fenders on New Year's Eve. Paid a little more attention to the BB junction this time and spaced it properly (mainly because the spring clip that formerly held in in place slowly shook loose over the course of each ride).
Fork was plasti-dipped flat black yesterday, that stuff really is (stinky, messy) magic. -

with top science backup :-)

Brakes are here. Hopefully on the road next week. Chose cantis because we have a slush/snow/mud season here that instantly clogs v-brakes up.

2nd pic symmetry is many noice!

Youโve done it again. Bloody lovely. Some nice little touches too; cable nipples, flex on bar tape and bell all go nicely. Mine feels distinctly average now

Very nice! Not normally a fan of colour matched stems and sestposts at all but it really suits this.
-
• #91

Cheers, I was aiming for East coast industrial meets West coast geological.

Can you tell us more about the paintjob?
-
• #94
well nice.
What bars are they? -
• #95
The paintjob is powdercoat (hence the non-matched carbon fork) - I went to my local coaters in search of a textured finish that would surprise me - something I hadn't seen before but would be nice to handle (ie not truck bedliner). I love stuff like the zolatone Marin MTBs and various hard finishes usually found on motorsport and military components. This (on the swatch) appeared a lot like the black wrinkle/crackle finish found on sports car cam covers, only with a bit of colour that misbehaved in the light. In flat light, it sucks up and goes really dark. In sunlight, it's pretty flashy.
Bars are, you guessed it, Cowbell 3s. Dumbass here misplaced the stem faceplate on the day of coating, so it's painted to match the fork.

What camera you using?
-
• #97
Sometimes Lumix LX5, sometimes Fuji X-Pro2. JPEG artefacting in the last image (on the frame) is quite insane, that shitty old Lumix sensor can't handle this texture!

The internet just isnโt ready either. Beynond awesome

Looks quite glittery

Looks great. Loved the original paint and this update looks great too. How does the paint on the seat post hold up? Also what light do you use on the mount? Might have to steal that for my new beater/pub bike setup.
This thing is due an update. New coat for Christmas.
Also stripped the five-year-old plasti-dip/paint/plasti-dip sandwich off the fork. The experiment worked, the fork underneath looks practically brand new after lord knows how many commute miles.
