The paintjob is powdercoat (hence the non-matched carbon fork) - I went to my local coaters in search of a textured finish that would surprise me - something I hadn't seen before but would be nice to handle (ie not truck bedliner). I love stuff like the zolatone Marin MTBs and various hard finishes usually found on motorsport and military components. This (on the swatch) appeared a lot like the black wrinkle/crackle finish found on sports car cam covers, only with a bit of colour that misbehaved in the light. In flat light, it sucks up and goes really dark. In sunlight, it's pretty flashy.
Bars are, you guessed it, Cowbell 3s. Dumbass here misplaced the stem faceplate on the day of coating, so it's painted to match the fork.
