Rutland Cycling has some clip-ons at £5. I dunno if they're any good though but that might be worth a try.

That is a good option for a fiver! I just got a set of BBB BFD-22 Slimguards.

Update on BBB Slimguards - they broke after first 1000km. I assume it is design failure as the crack appeared in the identical places on both sides. Although the BBB support service was great and replaced the broken part.
