  • See, he just can’t help himself when it comes to rule breaking.

Lock up your guinea pigs, kids.

  • Hah, fair. I'd assumed that was just the moving time - if you add on two hour-long cake breaks then he's AUK-compliant (although admittedly not with the motorpacing)

  • Don't really need to worry about being too fast to be AUK compliant.

If you're early to a manned control then you're kept there until the control opens, but you can still do all of the stuff that you need to (eat, rest, ablute, etc) before setting off the second it officially opens (the fast group on LEL 2009 did this all the way up to Edinburgh thanks to a tailwind [and hardwork and prowess]).

If it's an unmanned control (or a DIY/Perm) then, I think, you get a time penalty equal to the amount of time you were early at each control. Even for the really quick this is unlikely to put you over time for the whole event, so it's relatively meaningless.

It seems the maximum average speed is mostly there to help convince people (i.e. insurers, authorities, etc) that it's not a race. A healthy tailwind can make even the average Audaxer (*cough*)get to a half way control before official time.

  • Oh hai Capita share prices...

  • They announced they were going to do a new share issue worth £700m, so no surprise that £800m was wiped off the value of the company an announced dilution like that.

  • Eeeek. Bye bye baby.

  • Wow, some people really do have standards

  • Normal people do not quit jobs because they're less than 30 minutes late for work. He's either nuts or doesn't want the job.

  • Drama seeker. Just wanted to hear the no's

  • Normal people

    he is a tory

  • Last time he was half an hour late for something was probably 65 years ago, resulting in an unfortunate meeting with a red-hot poker. He probably doesn't know the disciplinary policy in the Lords and panicked.

  • I'd be quite happy if people at work resigned for being late to meetings. There's no excuse.

  • I remember hearing one company had a policy that anyone who was late to a scheduled meeting had to stand and sing a song as punishment. Apparently it didn't happen very often.

Not sure if it still applied for external people coming in....

  • Charges were only dropped against the BT engineer from South London when it emerged the complainant – who is entitled to life-long anonymity – had sent messages threatening to destroy him. The missing texts also showed the woman said she had enjoyed the sex (bottom).

    Daily Fail.

  • The dogs around three months old.
    Chill out.
    It'll get walks....

  • I hope you're right.

  • Offer to walk it, youll understand pretty quick.

No smoke without fire, this story has been billowing for a long time.

  • wonder if they'll investigate theresa may for losing the file on the 1970's paedophile rings in westminster
she's done well after that file went missing .... coincidence ?

  • Illuminati exposed

  • Hahaha, no.
I just think youve got a slightly over the top pessimistic view of a dog being abused, cos its really a bit too young to he going on walks.
It will have plenty of exercise running about the house for now.
It would have to be carried home after a 15/20 min walk down the street probably.
Unless its left in one room for the forseeable future the dog is totally fine.

  • She didnt...?!
