Hey Guys,
I'm looknig for a new digital camera body, preferbly nikon as i can use my old ais lenses.
Does anyone know of a nikon model that is very easy to shoot with and can be used almost like a nikon FE film camera. Like real time exposure, so i can see as i change the aperture on my lens how that effects the picture etc. I borrowed an entry level nikon and it was difficult to use and it didnt do that, it was after every picture i could see.
Im not a newbie to photography, but not sure how I can find this out!

..you mean you change the aperture and "it gets darker", but you can check the depth of field with the chosen aperture?
This is usually done via DOF preview button on modern cameras.
I think you don't have one on the newer (four-digit) entry level Nikon bodies.
The old (two digit) ones (like D90) have it, and the newer pro (single-digit) and three-digit (like D600) have it (or you can program a "Fn" button to behave like one). -

Does anybody have a Canon 5D Mk1 body they'd consider selling? Love my film gear but finding I don't use it much these days so looking to mix things up.

Last weekend out at the lake with friend J, I find snow a real challenge to get right, any tips? (X70)

I would say you've done a good job with those snowy images. You can always bracket next time but it is hard to nail, really high dynamic range.

Self-portrait and surfer guy are really nice..

Depending on the amount of snow in the image, I adjust the exposure compensation to anything to +1...+2,6

Get a bunch of really nice rolls of film and just commit to shoot a roll every week.
You'll be happy you did it as you can always do that digital stuff exhaustively when film is gone in a few years!

I find having a break from going out with the camera is best incentive to get back into it - whatever the weather. Nice brolly shot, good framing

Good point although I've been trying that tactic for about 10 years. Your comment has made me think twice about selling the film stuff though cheers!

Has been rather cold out here, more concerned about camera damage tbh though.

Yeah, my camera does not deal well with getting wet and it's pretty much always raining.
