Tell me that wasn't organised within the team...
That still leaves 5 other riders in the one race ffs!
Are they planning on banning the entire country ala Russia?

So a new study has shown that muscle memory exists at DNA level, meaning that dopers get the training benefit from doping well after any bans may have ended.

That was literally how this thread started 8 years ago.
I think it was more that steroid users increased their muscle cell size (or number?) beyond what they could do normally and this could then be trained back up to easily after stopping the juice. Basically, cheat once and you're always getting some benefit from that drug use.

Erik Zabel will be pleased.

Why? He's a cheat. All his results are fraud.
-
• #7007
Yeah but bro, this is a NEW study
-
• #7008
He claimed he only used EPO once and it disagreed with him, hence it conferred no advantage.
-
• #7009
If anything, depending on how badly it disagreed with him, it's possible it resulted in a disadvantage. Poor guy.

I tried caffeine once, shat my pants
-
• #7011
I'm sure there's some kind of important nuance but the idea is the same. Dopers get an advantage for life.
Life bans.
Sorted.

The "I didn't inhale" defence. Fuck that. Didn't O'Grady pull that shit too?
I still don't own his book, the prick. One day I'll buy a used copy and get him to sign it 'I thought you were better than that'

Ban them from the sport yes, but ban them from life!? Bit harsh

• #7021
Only skimmed the article, they moved the release line was the cheating?
-
• #7022
They suspect results manipulation. Their results stand but they're suspicious.
