  • havent taken it apart, gonna write angry email to bike24 first

  • Seems like B+M is hit and miss with their QC

  • What would be my go to light if I wanted sturdyness/weatherproofness over Light power and USB charging? Sub £100 preferably...

  • I haven't had a single problem with any of the B&M stuff I've had (5 front lights, 6 rear lights)..

  • B&M rear lights are garbage

  • I've had absolutely zero problems with my one of these:

  • No issues with my Secula.

  • As I said, hit and miss

  • My secula is fine and has face a lot of rain but the cunting stand light on IQ-X still wont fucking work!

I am going to ask for money back and get Edlux II if its possible to mount it on a go pro mount ..

  • My busch & müller cyo t senso plus works ok just the standby light not working. Its more the switch is not right which i need to have a look at. I have a few lights from them and they all work fine just this one is playing up. I'm wondering if the break cables have pressed on the back switch and done something to it. Will figure out how to pull it apart and try to clean the contacts.

  • Damn it, I was looking at getting one of those to see how it compared to my Supernova.

  • Check the connections, then put it in a bag of rice.

  • funnily enough I left it next to radiator and its working again ..

  • It's the 'turn it off and on again' of dynamo troubleshooting.

  • fixed my light. Manage to take it apart and clean it. Bit of GT85 did the job :)

  • Lens locking cap is lefthand thread if you want to open it up to dry it out (i.e. screw clockwise to remove). Lens cap then just lifts off. I reassembled with plumbers PTFE tape on the lens locking caps threads to play it safe (no idea if moisture got in that way though). I noticed some condensation on the inside about the same time the light began to not let me turn it off whilst in-motion (was perfectly fine for the 6 months prior). Seems like a bit of a questionable build quality on the B&M IQ-X.

  • Just ordered a Schmidt Edlux II + rear light. Hoping to make a little bracket for the rear light so I can mount it on the rear NDS mudguard eyelet and have cable run through NDS chain stay

  • NDS chainstay make sense for riding on the LHS of the road? From a distance I guess it should be fine.

Out of interest where did you order from? I'm looking to get the same combo of lights but the mudguard mounted rear.

  • Well, I won't live in this country forever :-)
I will have a little USB light for my seat post as well when riding in the country side at night.

I am getting mine from SJS

  • here is the light striped down. There is nothing online about taking this thing apart which I can find.
busch muller cyo premium t senso plus

  • Right, so I've worked out I'm going to get in terms of Dynamo, lights and Igaro etc. Who is a wizard (in terms of a shop) in installing this stuff especially as some of it will need to be in frame etc? Preferably a perfectionist.

  • SBC cycles, Edlux, SON

  • Don't be one of those guys. Install it yourself so you know how it works and thus how to fix it if it goes wrong.

You can thank me when you finish the race.

  • I am so looking forward to getting my Edlux II sometime next week.
I am getting a front wheel build with a SP PV 8 hub. Can I ask what the difference is between that hub and the equivalent SON hub? What does twice the money get me?

  • My Northampton Grenson shoes are probably over ten years now worn nearly every day two times new Dainite soles.
