Waited in yesterday for delivery, text and email at 11:30am saying item had been delivered and signed for. But obviously not to me.
Yodel 'will interview driver at end of day and let me know'
Obvs none of this happened and the retailer has sent me a claim form for a refund. So the question is did the driver take it or deliver to the wrong property and someone signed with my surname?

Gatwick yodel are awful. I had a mobile go missing from Virgin. Signed for apparently. Not by me. I had been getting some bootsale stuff together in my dining room that week and it was all piled under the front window. I was loading it in the car on the sunday morning and found a parcel.
Turns out the driver had just dropped it through the window behind the pile! I had a 2nd one delivered by royal mail the day before.
I just dispair anytime a seller is sending whatever i have bought by Yodel. -

I’d be interested to know if they investigate.
They didn’t deliver / fake delivered something of mine once and just paid me compensation like that’s what they always do, like it’s built in to their financial model as an acceptable loss.

I had the same thing with yodel recently. Delivered and signed for but not by me. Called up and they “interviewed the driver”. Came back and said it was signed for at the loading bay by Frank.
The address is an office, we don’t have a loading bay. Or a Frank.
Luckily though they got the driver to go and pick it up the next day and redeliver it to me. -

No investigation, straight refund from retailer.
ffs what a business model, someone is paying for fraudulent activity somewhere along the food chain

I've had a refused delivery at door notification timed at @7:12am this morning and a returned to sender @7:14am notification on an order today.
Considering I live in Lewisham, the depo is in Dartford, and I was at home this morning at that time i'm going say its unlikely this event took place.
The last delivery from the same company was 'delivered to neighbour' which in reality meant a box with £40 of beer in it was left on the fucking street.

Paid £4.99 for next day delivery from wiggle, expecting the normal DPD delivery.
As I hadn't received my notification of the name of my driver and time slot for delivery, so I logged into wiggle and too my horror its been dispatched using Yodel. FOR £4.99!!!
I'd have been disappointed if the free option had turned out to be fucking Yodel.
...........wiggle are being twats thread
(it's also gone to my home address rather than work too, but I think that was my fuck up)

I got caught out by that: paid for priority shipping and it actually took longer to get here.
And if I'm out, at least I know where Royal Mail have taken it and when I can collect it, with the Yodel-vacuum you might as well stab yourself in the face.

I had a yodel delivery once. First day I got all the 'out for delivery at x time' texts for three days. One or two mins after the delivery text I got a 'driver cant find you' text. The third day I could see his van so I text the drivers number from the text telli g him im waving.
Rasta rob dropped it off straight after.
Weird experience.
Hermes couldnt find my old offoce. A huge yellow sign and the first thing on the road the only way you can get on wasnt a big enough clue. Nor the map, streetview jpg and instructions of 'turn left off main road, park at waitrose, cross road, big yellow ace sign heres my number'
Three attempts, rows with seller and hermes.
Nah. -

Would totally prefer they (PX or anyone stupid enough to use Yodel/MyHermes etc) just get it dumped at the nearest collection point. ASDA/Johnsons' is so close it is less stress than waiting for the driver.

Its alright when its ebay stuff, you can message the dude and beg them to use RM and chuck em the extra but why any company would trust frequent ecommerce with fucking hermes baffles me.
MyHermes and Hermes act like the other doesnt exist and its a bloody minefield trying to get through to anyone at either but if you do they then tell you its all on the seller so surely the sellers (px et al) would be inundated and therfore fed up?
Maybe its all illimunatti.
Bike shops, shitty delivery companies and asda safe boxes all conglomorating.

Its alright when its ebay stuff,
Aye but how many times you bought something that says it'll be shipped RM only to get the dreaded Hermes email about 5 days after you bought the thing, and about 3 days after you expected it to be delivered!

Put in a PX order and got excited about being over the free delivery threshold, then realised it was gonna be handled by Yodel. Fuuuuuu......
Also, I should get a ‘dispatched’ type email shouldn’t I? Nothing on yet but was only yesterday morning I placed the order.

I’m not in a horrendous hurry for the stuff and by using PX I did save a fair bit so hopefully it shows up eventually.
I actually ordered half the stuff then realised I wanted to order more so phoned and cancelled the first order and put it all in one big order and haven’t been refunded for it yet. Like I say though, was only yesterday morning...

Okay so your errors are adding up by every post you make.
Good luck with the refund. I had to chase them hard once because of that. As for the despatch email, it can take daaaaays for them to pick the order. Check on your account page on the site. Probably it hasn't changed from 'ready to be picked'.
Can take ages, but yes the savings tip the scales in their favour albeit barely.

Only a very few of the orders I’ve ever placed with them show up in my account. These latest 2 orders, of course, do not. Think it might be because I paid by PayPal? I have the PayPal receipt with my order number on it so that’s always something.

Mmmm plain weird. I had that ages ago, so made sure I log in before placing any order. Good luck with it though. Was going to place another order with them this week but dreading the fuss.

I just need to forget about it for a week or so and then if the stuff ain’t here I can start worrying.
They were at least pretty helpful when I phoned them.
Think I’ve saved £20 on a pair of Ribmos and £40 on the bars I bought so a little hassle is probably to be expected.
