Forum guidance welcomed:
I'm toying with the idea of selling a Dura Ace 9000 groupset to help to invest in my first di2 group; R8050 the obvious choice.
I recently swapped a frame and the easy thing would be to transfer the above over, but I like the idea of a change. Should I stick or twist?

are you happy with the frame? does it fit? if so stick with it
but otherwise just buy a complete new bike as it will work out cheaper than buying a frame and then components

Anyone ridden with SRAM Force X1 & SRAM Rival X1, & is there a noticeable difference?

Bulk ordering KMCs since 2009...
-

Has anyone seen any good deals on the complete 5800 groupset lately? I've gone through Wiggle, CRC, PlanetX etc, and might settle for some Aliexpress deal.

Fucking 3/32 track KMC I bought last week came with a joining pin!
-
• #6143
Don't think I've ever used a KMC track chain. Most of mine were 1/8th too. Those screw fit ones always worried me..

Merlin and Ribble are the first places I check for groups.

Me too.
It's a conspiracy...

The prices aren't that competitive there, but thanks anyway :). I was thinking more of a groupset taken off of a new bike, something like that.

quick question, I haven't built up a road bike for a few years now and haven't really come across the 'semi compact' chainset. Does anyone know if on new 11speed Campag Chorus you can swap the chainrings for a compact chainset?
And yes I know HTFU but fuck that, im riding for fun, not the Tour
-
• #6148
Yes, you can. The new 4-arm chainsets use the same cranks for compact, semi or standard.

Thinking of changing my winter promuter, to 1x on the cheap. The current gearing is 105 5800 with 50/34 chainring and 11-32 cassette. The rear deraileur is a long cage, so I was thinking I can keep it. And just change ring and cassette
I was thinking of swapping in a wolftooth 48 chainring and a sunrace 11-40 on the back and a new chain obvs
Has anyone tried this? Am I mad?

Considering something very similar myself. Don't see why not. Although I thought 105 only comes in Medium cage up to a 32?
I think we both need the Road Link from Wolftooth as well.
Lol
