• Yeah I think I tried the swap when I fitted the seats and there was a reason it didn't work out but I think I'll have to have a peep and revisit it... I think it was something simple like bolt compatibility but it would be worth either having to retap a thread or add a new nut... I'll look into it now anyway as I'm just about to swap the seats back in after the annual test and want to take action before I sit in comfort for another year and end up in the same spot this time next year.

    Cheers on the resistor too, they look like they'll do the job perfectly! Probably would be cheaper to pop to Maplins/ RS Radionics but I've enough other projects on to appreciate a quick fix!

  • Just had a quick look online, it looks like both LR and BMW have complicated harness connectors on the loom side, but on the pre-tensioner side it's a simple 3 wire connector. I can't find a decent wiring diagram but it looks like you should be able to snip the BMW connector off and solder the original LR connector on. Then when the LR ECU sends a signal, it gets received by the BMW pre-tensioner because it's most likely just a 0 or + voltage type scenario.
