  • We used to rebuild lot too, but my dad was always really insistent on everything being put away in its own box at the end of the day (not just Lego, we've got a load of boxed playmobil too...). 30 years later, it was all found in his loft boxed, covered and organised.

Wow, I don't think that would have worked in our house in any way whatsoever. :)

  • B and I made it bit by bit at weekends over about 9 months, I’d give him the pieces and he’d follow the instructions per page. He only had about 20min attention span each time so it took rather a long time!

  • Hope you find the missing parts!

  • Sweet, it's so lovely when kids start building this stuff increasingly independently.

AFOL meet up near euston station (The Square Tavern), Feb 12th. 6.30pm

Ive never been but looks like myself and a colleague are going to go.

  • Wise to publicly post your last known whereabouts.

  • I've been digging through my old sets, a chunk of smaller Castle bits, one of the Forestmen sets, some space, a small amount of city...

My daughter already has bigger sets than I did.

I did treat myself to the Saturn V, but not been able to start it yet.

I've been promised that once both small people are big enough, I'll be allowed to get Lego trains.

  • Scalextric FTW

  • Niice.
Wehn I move I'm planning on getting a decent setup in the spare room.

  • These fake ads capture the magic of LEGO perfectly:

Spent half my childhood playing with the stuff. My last creation was a mansion of my own design which you can take apart floor by floor, including the roof. Fully decorated interior of course. It's at my parents', will see if I can take some shots if I'm there.

  • I bought the Caterham a few weeks ago and I’m suddenly keen to dust all my old Lego off again. Bought the 911 GT3RS yesterday... should keep me entertained for a while.

  • Are the things that come with the Caterham axle stands or Cones?

  • also this:

it was submitted under lego ideas as an idea for a new set a few years back. it vastly surpassed the 10,000 supporters required for review but unfortunately it was not released. boo.

  • Mate of mines just built that millenium falcon lego set. Took him weeks!

  • I nearly bought this the other day in sainos but after seeing some of the fully operational scale forestry kit built by technics pros I’m not so convinced.

  • It bugs me how Americans call Lego "Lagos".

  • I don't recall hearing an American say the word Lego, but you just reminded me that there's a cool Lego shop in Manhattan, by the Rockefeller Center. #fyi

  • Five hours of a Sunday afternoon well spent...

  • And balls to the forum for backwards ordering of images.

  • I assumed you had ocd'ly disassembled it & re-heatsealed the bags.

  • I honestly thought I was looking at images where you’d very carefully dismantled it and re-packaged it. Was going to #rep for reverse Lego skills.
