I miss the good old days when it was quite normal to see stray dogs roaming our streets.
Not in packs so much - more just a coincidental meeting up of 2 or 3 like minded souls with nothing to do and no particular place to go. -

I think you’re getting confused with the show Top Cat.

No dogs in Top Cat except Griswald.

Not in the news yet but I suspect it will be - soldiers uploading their GPS tracks to Strava have given away their patrol routes and base locations.

Go to Chile or Argentina.

Chile sounds good for stray dogs ...
It’s speculated that there are 2.5 million stray dogs in the country of Chile so they are hard to miss and are definitely part of your commute around any major city there. Don’t worry about these furry friends getting in the way though, they’ve learned the rules of the road and it shows. I was amazed to watch the Chilean dogs stop at traffic lights, cross at cross walks and look both ways before walking through traffic. They’ve adapted to life on the streets and they know their stuff! One afternoon I watched one of the Chilean dogs bark at a car that was stopped at a green light while all the other cars advanced through the intersection – is it possible that this canine knew?

Thank you. I also feel like this about dogs. I didn't know anyone else did. I've never heard anyone admit it. I have lost friends because they got dogs. Those friends don't know why I drifted away. I hate dogs. Always have. No specific childhood trauma. Just never understood dog ownership and find them unpleasant and nerve wracking to be near.

I tell you what I hate - sockpuppets. Button-eyed fabric-mouthed freaks of nature. Never did understand the attraction. They freak me out so much I want a 10-mile exclusion zone around me at all times. I don’t think that’s unreasonable?

Are you a surveyor by any chance?

Completely reasonable. When Rod Hull fell off his roof I celebrated like many did when Thatcher died. (btw, not sure why I'm not logged in under my usual alias. I'm as good with computers as I am with dogs)

Oh, I know the feeling - it’s so easy to to log out of my usual email and log into a brand new one, then use that to create a new LFGSS account and hey presto! Accidental new username.
What’s your usual alias then? Lynchman? Jeez?
