Battery replaced and clock has been set. Now we wait.

Now we also work out how to reset the radio without the code cos I'm a fucking bellend.

There are websites that will give you the code (for a small fee) if you enter the radio's serial number. Had to do this on my Audi,was a bit wary but worked fine. Less than £5 if I recall.
