Does it ever seem like there are just hundreds of accounts going to great lengths just to post utterly derivative/samey photographs?
I follow an account called 'Hidden Scotland'. Given that I live in Scotland, I was excited about finding new cool places. But a solid 90% of the posts there are a from a tiny selection of places. Glencoe, Glen etive, Glenfinnan viaduct, or Skye. Usually featuring someone in a yellow jacket center shot. Bonus points to find someone skating down a road somewhere with a caption about adventure as if they were just skating along in the middle of nowhere and their car isn't parked up just out of shot.
I know I shouldn't be surprised that Instagram is full of shit but I guess it's just disappointing how something purporting to be so genuine seems so manufactured
Rant incoming
