I went for this one in the end. Looks pretty much identical to be honest:

It's good. I don't use mine regularly for heavy loads but it's well capable of carrying things far larger than the platform. It's sturdy but not overly heavy. Combined with some old tubes and bungee straps it can easily replace whatever you'd carry in a large backpack.
